Dear Henri, Cher Henri!
We are so happy to have you in our life. You are a wonderful and very special little boy. The way you came into this world made us worried as you manage to tie a knot in your umbilical cord and the cord was also around your neck. You stayed in special care for 7 days and your mommy and you were so happy to be released from the hospital. The past year has been filled with love and moments to remember. Things have been hard sometimes but the joy you bring to our life is a million times bigger.
When you were 2 months old your grandparents from Canada came to spend a couple of months to meet you. They instantly felt in love with you, you are their first grand child and you make them so happy. Bah and Maurice, your dad’s parents, also came to visit you and were really helpful especially Bah with her amazing cooking. And then so many presents and pre-loved clothing came from friends and family members and we want to thank you again for your generosity, all of you.
We had an amazing surprise when our new neighbour Keir and Josh were also pregnant with Jake. Keir became not only a neighbour but also a great friend and so did Jake to you Henri. They are a bliss to have around and it is across the fence doing the washing that Keir and I started to share our life as a mother talking about our fears, our questions and telling each other how much we love the little men in our life!
Last January your big brother Riley came to live with us. It is so beautiful to see you two together. Riley is great with you and he makes us laugh when he says that you still have the smell of a new born! When Riley plays or looks after we I can see how much he loves you and how deeply he cares about you. He told Dom the other day that the highlight of his day is when he comes back from school and he sees you Henri. Thanks Riley to be such an amazing brother to Henri.
